Through the art of dry aging, this magnificent porterhouse steak undergoes a transformation. Its natural flavors intensify, evolving into a symphony of richness and complexity. The dry aging process allows the meat to develop a sublime tenderness and marbling that melts into a buttery perfection. Each bite of dry-aged porterhouse is earthy and savory with a deep, bold flavor only dry aging can impart.
Porterhouse steak and potatoes are a classic pairing that can be lightened up with roasted vegetables or a salad dressed with lemon vinaigrette.
Pairing proteins together is also an excellent way to turn an ordinary dinner or cookout into a decadent and memorable experience. One classic partnership is our Atlantic Canadian Lobster,
with its delicate, sweet meat providing a delightful contrast to the hearty porterhouse steak.
Another excellent choice is our 4-bone beef short ribs—tender, slow-cooked beef adds an additional layer of depth to the porterhouse’s richness, highlighting the robust flavor of both cuts of prime beef.
Proper preparation will showcase the nuanced flavor of our dry-aged porterhouse steak for an elevated dining experience. Allow your dry-aged steak to come to room temperature and season with good-quality salt and fresh-cracked pepper—or your favorite steak spice. We recommend something with a little heat and a little sweet, like a honey chipotle blend.
Sear your dry-aged porterhouse steak on high heat in a cast iron skillet for 2 to 3 minutes on either side to create a beautifully charred crust and to seal in the juices. Reduce the heat to medium and cook to your desired doneness—we like to use a meat thermometer for precision cooking.
Let your steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes, and serve whole for a show-stopping presentation or slice against the grain to create a tender, luscious texture.
Our dry-aged porterhouse steaks are priced at $35.99 for a 16 oz cut. At about $2.50 per ounce, we also offer 20, 24, 28, and 32 oz porterhouse steak portions.
