The Best Turkey Brine: Our Secret Recipe

Ingredients
- Turkey Breast or Leg
- Apple Cider 2L
- Kosher Salt ¾cups
- Fresh Sage ¼ bunch
- Fresh Thyme 1/8 bunch
- Bay Leaves 4
- Cold water 2L
- Garlic Cloves 3 smashed
- Lemon cut into ¼’s
Directions
- Combine in a pot on the stovetop, 1L of apple cider and all the dry ingredients
- Bring to a boil all the dry ingredients and then simmer for 5 minutes until the salt is dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool completely, then add the remaining apple cider and cold water
- Add all the remaining ingredients
- Place the turkey in the bucket with the brine for 2 full days, then allow the turkey to dry over night before cooking
