The Quick Facts on Porchetta...

  • Avg. 10 lbs per piece
  • Ingredients: pork, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary MAY CONTAIN WHEAT, SOY, MUSTARD, MILK

Porchetta is really a thing of beauty. It’s juicy. It’s crispy. It’s rich. It’s flavourful. And don’t forget about that cross-section! Butcher Shoppe porchetta is made from pork belly and our butchers do all of the work for you: it’s trimmed to perfection, stuffed with deliciously savoury herbs and spices, and tied up in a tight roulade so that it cooks evenly for you at home.

Goes Great In...

A focaccia sandwich with Italian style salsa verde and arugula.

Our Preferred Preparation for Porchetta

It has to be low and slow in the oven. We like to place the porchetta on a wire rack and then on a baking tray so the fat can drip down, helping to achieve ultimate crispiness. For the final 15 minutes or so, we blast the heat to fully crisp the outside, creating that irresistible crust.

How It Ships...

Our porchetta is prepared to order, then immediately vacuum sealed at its freshest, before being sent directly to your door within 12-24 hours of your order.

What Shoppers Like You Are Asking

A heavy pan like cast iron or a hot grill is best for getting a perfect sear, but any sturdy skillet will work. Add tongs and a meat thermometer, and you’re all set to cook a flawless steak.

USDA Prime has the highest level of marbling, which means more tenderness, juiciness, and flavour compared to USDA Choice. It’s the same quality you’ll find served at top steakhouses.

Filet mignon is a specific steak cut from the tenderloin, while tenderloin refers to the larger primal cut that contains it. Both are exceptionally tender, but filet mignon is often considered the most delicate, while the full tenderloin offers more flavour.
