"Canadian bacon so good one loaf might not be enough.”
The Quick Facts...
  • Fresh-cut, locally sourced pork loin
  • Avg. 6 lbs per piece
  • Ingredients: pork loin, water, spice (salt, sodium phosphate, flavouring (contains soy, corn), sugar, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite, spices and cornmeal

Get yourself some real, bonafide Canadian bacon. As opposed to our thick-cut peameal bacon, this cured pork loin rolled in cornmeal is about 6lbs and can be served however you like it. We do our very best to stay true to this Toronto original, which means we cut ours from locally sourced pork, wet cure it, and roll it in cornmeal for that special “crust” that we all know and love.

Goes Great With...

Your favorite breakfast spread, or even on its own.

Our Preferred Preparation...

Though we certainly don’t claim to have invented it, the peameal bacon sandwich is a really tasty way to enjoy this cut of meat. Serve your peameal bacon sliced on a kaiser roll with whatever accoutrement you like—mustard, sliced tomato, the list goes on.

    How It Ships...

Our peameal is made in-house the old fashioned way, then immediately vacuum sealed and sent to your door.

What Shoppers Like You Are Asking

A heavy pan like cast iron or a hot grill is best for getting a perfect sear, but any sturdy skillet will work. Add tongs and a meat thermometer, and you’re all set to cook a flawless steak.

USDA Prime has the highest level of marbling, which means more tenderness, juiciness, and flavour compared to USDA Choice. It’s the same quality you’ll find served at top steakhouses.

Filet mignon is a specific steak cut from the tenderloin, while tenderloin refers to the larger primal cut that contains it. Both are exceptionally tender, but filet mignon is often considered the most delicate, while the full tenderloin offers more flavour.
