Before you start cooking, it's essential to prepare the beef flap properly. Begin by allowing the meat to come to room temperature. This ensures even cooking throughout the cut and helps maintain its juiciness. While the meat is resting at room temperature, you can season it to your liking. A simple blend of salt, pepper, and perhaps a touch of garlic powder or your preferred seasoning will enhance the natural flavours of the beef.
For those who prefer the smoky and charred flavours that come from the BBQ, this method is a top choice. Preheat your BBQ to high heat, aiming for a temperature between 450-500°F (232-260°C). Once your BBQ is properly heated, place the seasoned beef flap directly on the grill grates.
