Our Preferred Preparation for Skin-On Chicken Supreme Cut

It’s time to make a true chicken supreme! Prepare and pan sear your skin-on chicken supreme, finish off in the oven, and top with a savory, creamy sauce. The skin will really help keep your chicken juicy and delicious.

How Much Does Chicken Supreme Cut Cost?

Our chicken supreme cut is priced based on weight at $3.41 for a 6oz piece, $4.54 for an 8oz piece, and $5.68 for a 10oz piece. *Prices are subject to change. See the top of this page for the most current pricing.

How It Ships...

Our chicken supreme cut (skin on) is hand cut to order at our Toronto butcher shop and then immediately vacuum sealed at its freshest before being shipped directly to your door on our own fleet of refrigerated trucks. We can deliver throughout the greater Toronto area. We also have in-store pick up available.

Glad you asked! Our chicken is sourced from local Ontario chicken farms without exception.

Prepare or freeze your Butcher Shoppe chicken within five days of receiving them. You don’t need to wash raw chicken! This will only spread juices to other surfaces. Instead, wash hands before handling and use a separate cutting board for your raw chicken protein. Otherwise, the key is to avoid drying the chicken out during cooking.

Chicken breast is the health nut’s choice for a reason: a four-ounce serving contains just about 100 calories and almost two dozen grams of protein. It’s lean, it’s healthy, and it’s incredibly easy to make.

“Made from 100% locally raised Ontario chicken.”

It doesn’t get much better than hand-cut chicken sourced from local Ontario farms. Air-chilled chicken, that is. While most Ontario-sourced chicken is water chilled, ours is air chilled, helping to retain that beautiful colour and big natural flavour without any extra water weight. All Butcher Shoppe chickens come from free-run farms in the local area. It’s fresh, all-natural chicken right from your own backyard.

From the Head Butcher’s Counter

“Where you get your chicken matters. From the farm the chickens are raised on, to how the meat is chilled, we really scrutinize every last detail, which you’ll find in the juicy tender flavor of Butcher Shoppe chicken.”

On the Grill

Grillmasters love to boast their own proprietary grilled chicken recipes. We like to keep it simple. Throw together your favorite marinade in a ziploc bag—say, oil, vinegar, honey, mustard, and lemon juice?—add your chicken breasts, and let it sit for a couple of hours. Once the grill is hot, give it a couple minutes on each side and bingo.

Using a Broiler

Get your broiler going on high. Slice your chicken breasts in half (lengthwise) before rubbing them down with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a cajun spice mix of your choosing. Place your chicken breasts on the rack and broil them 4-5 minutes on each side.

In a Pan

We like to pat the chicken breast dry, then coat it in a mix of flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Then we heat a generous drizzle of oil in a pan on medium heat before searing the protein 4-5 minutes on each side.
