The Butcher Shoppe's quail eggs come from a small, family-owned farm in Saint Anns, Ontario and are naturally delicious and nutritious. These birds are very well looked after, enjoying a diet of grains from local farmers, drinking double-filtered water, breathing plenty of fresh air and never receiving antibiotics or added hormones. Quail eggs have a higher yolk-to-white ratio than the average chicken egg, which means a rich flavour and creamy texture.
A steak salad! Place cooked halves of quail eggs on top of a fresh salad with your favourite steak sliced thinly, avocado, creamy balsamic, cherry tomatoes, and some gorgonzola crumbles.
Simply soft-boil your quail eggs to maintain a deliciously runny yolk. Remember: these are small eggs and only take a couple of minutes to cook!
