Our Preferred Preparation for Whole Spatchcock Chicken

Whole spatchcock chicken is a dish best served roasted. After you rub the chicken down with your favorite mix of garlic, butter, and seasoning, roast it in the oven. The great thing about this recipe is that you can pull the chicken out after ten minutes, add your vegetable of choice, and roast it all together to completion in the same pan. Easy and delicious!

    Our whole spatchock boneless chicken is cut by hand at our Toronto butcher shop and then immediately vacuum sealed at its freshest and shipped to your door on our own fleet of refrigerated trucks. We deliver throughout the greater Toronto area. We also have in-store pick up available. 

    Our whole spatchcock chickens are sourced from local Ontario chicken farms. 

    Prepare or freeze your boneless spatchcock chicken within five days of receiving it. You don’t need to wash raw chicken! This will only spread juices to other surfaces. Instead, wash your hands before handling the poulty and use a separate cutting board for your raw chicken protein.

    A four-ounce serving of chicken breast contains around 100 calories and nearly 24 grams of protein.

    Your order is always cut fresh to order no more than 24 hours before it is delivered to your door on our own fleet of refrigerated trucks.

    Generally, we deliver to the Greater Toronto Area, around 250 to 300 kilometers from Toronto city. We use our own refrigerated trucks to complete your delivery. In most cases, next-day delivery is available. At this time, delivery is not available beyond Southern Ontario.

    On the Grill

    Grillmasters love to boast their own proprietary grilled chicken recipes. We like to keep it simple. Throw together your favorite marinade in a ziploc bag—say, oil, vinegar, honey, mustard, and lemon juice?—add chicken breasts from your deboned spatchcock chicken, and let it sit for a couple of hours. Once the grill is hot, give it a couple minutes on each side and bingo.

    Using a Broiler

    Get your broiler going on high. Slice your spatchock chicken breasts in half (lengthwise) before rubbing them down with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a cajun spice mix of your choosing. Place your boneless chicken on the rack and broil each piece for 4-5 minutes on each side.

    In a Pan

    We like to pat the chicken breast dry, then coat it in a mix of flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Then we heat a generous drizzle of oil in a pan on medium heat before searing the protein 4-5 minutes on each side. The great thing about boneless spatchcock chicken is it lays flat for quick cooking.
