ITALIAN SAUSAGE STUFFING

Ingredients

  • The Butcher Shoppe Italian Sausage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 green apples – diced to 1cm cubes
  • 1 medium size brown onion - diced
  • 1 fennel bulb - diced
  • 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 1⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat a large fry pan to medium-high
  2. Add oil and sausage. As the meat starts to fry, begin breaking into pieces
  3. After 5 minutes, add apples, onion and fennel. Fry for a further 5 minutes. Stirring constantly
  4. Add sugar and apple cider vinegar, stirring until mixed through
  5. Reduce heat to low-medium and allow to cook for a further 30 minutes. Stirring every few minutes
  6. TIP — If the mix looks like it is drying out, add water as you go
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste
