Ingredients
- The Butcher Shoppe turkey leg
- 2 tablespoons oil or butter
- Chopped herbs of choice
- Veggies to roast (optional)
Directions
- Remove turkey leg from fridge 3 hours before roastingChoose favourite herbs to cover skin and rub liberally over skin with butter or oil. Allow to marinate at room temperature
- TIP —Sage, rosemary and thyme recommended
- Preheat oven to 390F (200C)Place turkey leg on baking tray with roasting rack (or on a bed of vegetables) and place in oven
- TIP — Add 1 cup of water or stock
- When cooked, remove from oven and allow to rest for 30 minutes
- T I P — If you don’t have a meat thermometer, stick a skewer or sharp knife into the thickest part of the leg, when the juices run clear, your turkey leg is cooked.
- COOKED TEMPERATURE 165F
