arinade and some high-heat cooking. The result is a tender and deeply flavourful piece of meat that’s perfect for slicing up and tossing in a salad or in some fajitas. Be sure to cut against the grain for ultimate tenderness! If you're looking for whole flank steak in the Toronto area, order online today for pick up or delivery from The Butcher Shoppe! (We also have delicious individual flank steaks.)

Goes Great With...

Enjoy your whole flank steak with a flavourful marinade. Look for a marinade that includes an acidic component like citrus, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce.

Our Preferred Preparation for Whole Flank Steak

Flank steaks only need about five minutes of cooking per side, so fire up the grill or heat up a cast iron skillet. Remember to let the steak rest for 10 minutes or so before slicing and serving.

What Shoppers Like You Are Asking

A heavy pan like cast iron or a hot grill is best for getting a perfect sear, but any sturdy skillet will work. Add tongs and a meat thermometer, and you’re all set to cook a flawless steak.

USDA Prime has the highest level of marbling, which means more tenderness, juiciness, and flavour compared to USDA Choice. It’s the same quality you’ll find served at top steakhouses.

Filet mignon is a specific steak cut from the tenderloin, while tenderloin refers to the larger primal cut that contains it. Both are exceptionally tender, but filet mignon is often considered the most delicate, while the full tenderloin offers more flavour.
