Ingredients
- Organic Chicken
- Organic Chicken Bone Broth
- Cavatelli
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced thin
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 2 large carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Add the onion and cook for around 6 minutes, until it softens. Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute, stirring consistently.
- Pour in the chicken broth, then add the celery, carrots, garlic, bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chicken, bring the mixture to a boil, then partially cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the cavatelli in a pot of salted water.
- Drain the cavatelli and add it to the soup once it has finished cooking. Let it simmer for an additional minute or two.
