Ingredients

  • Organic Chicken
  • Organic Chicken Bone Broth
  • Cavatelli
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 large carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Add the onion and cook for around 6 minutes, until it softens. Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute, stirring consistently.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth, then add the celery, carrots, garlic, bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chicken, bring the mixture to a boil, then partially cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, prepare the cavatelli in a pot of salted water.
  4. Drain the cavatelli and add it to the soup once it has finished cooking. Let it simmer for an additional minute or two.
