The Quick Facts About Our Bone-In Pork Shoulder

  • Fresh 100% Ontario pork shoulder
  • Average 18-20 lbs per piece

Our Bone-In Pork Shoulder Goes Great With…

  • Herb Stuffing: Savory stuffing made with bread, sage, and rosemary perfectly complements the rich, juicy pork.
  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts: Crispy, caramelized sprouts add a nutty depth to the tender, slow-cooked shoulder.
  • Sweet Potato Mash: Sweet potatoes balance the savory, smoky flavors of the pork.
  • Apple Cider Reduction: A tangy-sweet glaze made with apple cider and a dash of maple syrup brings a bright, fruity contrast to the savory meat.

Our Preferred Preparation for Melt-In-Your-Mouth Bone-In Pork Shoulder

For the ultimate melt-in-your-mouth bone-in pork shoulder, slow roasting is the way to go. Start by seasoning the pork generously with sea salt, pepper, and your favorite spices or a dry rub, letting it rest to absorb the flavors.

Place the shoulder in a roasting pan with a bit of bone broth or apple cider, cover tightly, and cook low and slow at 275°F for 6-8 hours until the meat is fork-tender. For a crispy finish, uncover the pork and roast at 450°F for 15-20 minutes to develop a golden, caramelized crust.

What Shoppers Like You Are Asking

A heavy pan like cast iron or a hot grill is best for getting a perfect sear, but any sturdy skillet will work. Add tongs and a meat thermometer, and you’re all set to cook a flawless steak.

USDA Prime has the highest level of marbling, which means more tenderness, juiciness, and flavour compared to USDA Choice. It’s the same quality you’ll find served at top steakhouses.

Filet mignon is a specific steak cut from the tenderloin, while tenderloin refers to the larger primal cut that contains it. Both are exceptionally tender, but filet mignon is often considered the most delicate, while the full tenderloin offers more flavour.
